So far in Spanish

We have now been in our new house in Spanish Fork for two weeks and we like it so far in Spanish! Our ward is great. I have to crack up because it's 50% under age 12. Yep...we'll probably get callings in primary! It's great, though. We like all of the kids running around the neighborhood. It feels really great to be in a neighborhood again instead of apartments or townhouses. I love our yard! I walked out in the backyard today and we have some beautiful little purple flowers coming up. I'm not sure what they are yet, but they are so pretty! Thanks to everyone who helped us move! We have awesome friends and family.

I think I gave myself a headache today because I was going through our bank statements and kept noticing a $14.95 charge each month to some company I didn't recognize. I googled the name of the company and it's some credit report place. Apparently Greg clicked on a "free credit report" link on google or somewhere, and when you sign up, they end up "subscribing" you to their service. So I tried calling to cancel and I knew it was Greg's name on the account so I gave them his SS # and the lady got so mad at me! I guess this company has had tons of complaints against them and have been fined by the FTC, etc. So Greg called and got it cancelled, but now I have a headache! I just hate things like that where people are trying to scam you. It was a lesson to me to check our statements more thoroughly.

    Glad you like your new house. It is so nice to see some Spring weather fun that you have some little flowers coming up. I hear you with the statements thing. I just noticed we were charged 25 dollars for a redbox movie (the 1$ movies you can get from the machine at mcdonalds and stuff) that we had already returned luckily we called our credit company and they are going to refund us but told us to watch the more closely so we don't get scammed in the future. I wonder if it has happened before and we just haven't noticed!

    I'm glad you're liking your new neighborhood. It'll be fun to get to know all the families.

    What a pain about the credit card statement thing. I did that once with a free ringtone and it sent me a text saying it would be $9.95 a month. What the heck! I got it cancelled, but those things make you crazy. Gives me a headache just thinking about it.

    On a side note, this weekend we start the insanity of pulling up the carpet and linoleum and putting in tile. I hope we can get it done fast enough. It's hard to wait a whole week to do the next step since Justin is helping us and he'll just be here on the weekends. Oh well, either way I just can't wait for it to be done. Then we can paint and get it all looking nice again. Hopefully within a month it'll all be finished and looking great. For now, I'm dreading the chaos and trying to keep kids away from nails and pulled up carpet. Yikes!

    Lis I'm glad you caught the scammers! That would give me a headache too! The purple flowers are probably crocus(look kindof like mini-tulips) or hyacinth (look like mini grape clusters). I love your new place too!

    I find mystery charges on my credit card, too. Usually its some buying club that I never signed up for - and mine have been really hard to get off, even after I call and they say they'll stop it. Frustrating!
    It's great you're coming down — I've missed your smiling face! Debbie said we can meet for a "secret" lunch on Monday!! I'm excited!

Almost To the Home Stretch

Here I am at around 30 weeks or so. I can't remember exactly when Greg took these pictures. It's hard to believe that I only have six weeks and five days to go before this little buddy will make his entrance into the world. I'm excited and nervous. I'm doing really great still. Can you see that baby bump?

Man! Full body shots are not at all my fave. I have to do a better pose next time where Greg's not looking up at me while laying on the couch. That's always been like my least favorite camera angle. But can you see that little belly showing? This is 17 and a half weeks. My waist is disappearing and it for sure seems like my already well-endowed bust line has expanded! I'm just trying to take it all in stride even though it's sort-of weird that your body isn't your own anymore in some ways. But I think it's totally awesome that my body is designed for this. Go women! Every day I really feel like it's a miracle that I'm even having a baby. That's such a cool blessing that I wondered if I'd have, and now it's happening, and it's really surreal at times, but totally awesome, too. Half Way There

Wow! I can't believe it's been 20 weeks already. That's halfway, right? I have had a terrific pregnancy so far. I have some of the common "aches and pains" but have done really well. It's awesome. I will have to post another picture again soon, because this bump is getting harder and harder to hide. Sometimes I feel a little self-conscious about it in a way, but I think I need to embrace it more and not try to hold it in! (Not that I do or can anyway!) The best thing lately is feeling the baby move more and more and knowing that's what I'm feeling. I totally notice movement after eating, and also sometimes when I play the organ. I think it's just louder so the baby can hear it and reacts a little. It will be fun to see if that continues and let's all pray they get Greg's awesome singing voice! We went to a movie last night, and the baby was really moving during that. Probably because it's so loud in the theater. A week or so...
