Almost To the Home Stretch

Here I am at around 30 weeks or so. I can't remember exactly when Greg took these pictures.
It's hard to believe that I only have six weeks and five days to go before this little buddy will make his entrance into the world. I'm excited and nervous.

I'm doing really great still. I think, after talking to Sarah today, that I'm probably having some Braxton-Hicks contractions but didn't really realize it. I'll have to start paying closer attention. Gotta love Zantac! It's been helping with the heartburn. I pretty much waddle around a little these days. It's hard not to. I'm still sleeping well at night for the most part. I laugh at myself trying to turn over though! It's like a beached whale! Really. I have to like literally try to flip myself over without everything going, "Snap! Crackle! Pop!" The same thing happens when I've been sitting at my desk and get up to walk around. It's like all my joints want to just pop! Sometimes it really does fill good though. I get pain in my left hip/leg, so if that pops, it feels good to me.

The baby's room is coming along! We ordered a nightstand that we need to put together. And there are always a few things to do. I've washed some baby stuff, but not all. I'm actually going to St. George next week for work and it's my plan to wash baby clothes and pack my hospital stuff when I get back. Still have yet to do a labor and deliver class. I should probably call them today!

In other news: Greg passed his PA recertification exam! It was a ton of work and studying. I totally got to go on vacation to Hebgen Lake, MT with my fam and he stayed here and worked and studied. I appreciate his dedication so much. He passed with flying colors...in fact, his score on this exam was even higher than when he first graduated from PA school. He was actually greater than the 99th percentile on this test. I was so happy for him! He was worried, because that's how he is, but he did great. It totally wore him out, though and he's had a cold/cough. Luckily I haven't gotten it. Tommy and I are healthy as can be!

That's about all the goings on for us these days. I am so excited for Fall and think it will be the best time to have a little baby. I hope I don't get too bored waiting for his arrival. I'm still working, and plan to be right up until my due date, so that's good. I still think I need to find a few projects to keep me busy. Well, there's always stuff to do, but it's a matter of finding the motivation to do it! ;0)

Just a few final thoughts: It's been super great to experience pregnancy. I am so blessed to be able to be having this experience. It still seems almost surreal at times! I have enjoyed all of the little nuances of pregnancy, but most especially the special mother/baby bonding. I like to feel the baby moving and to talk to him and stuff. It will be so fun to meet him!
