Baby Shower!

My family and Greg's family had a baby shower for us in July. It was so great to see everyone! Here are just a few photos to highlight the event. I still need to get my mom's photos because she took more than I did. As the guest of honor, I was mostly required to open presents!
Maria had her baby about one week after this, so good thing we got a picture of both of us pregnant at the same time. I wondered if that would happen! Glad it did.
The awesome shower planners did a great job. The menu consisted of yummy fruit kabobs, chicken/rice salad on a croissant, nut cups, and delicious slushy punch. The decorations were so cute! It's hard to see in the picture, but my mom and sisters did sugar cookie cut-outs of sports shapes and then put "T" on some of them for Thomas. Sarah also made a really cute diaper cake. Stacie did the invites. And Sharon and Chan helped with all of the planning and logistics.
It was such a fun day! I got so many cute things for the baby. Lots of homemade blankets, which is cool because each time I see one, I remember who made it for us. Lots of baby essentials, some cute outfits, books, and all kinds of things that a baby and momma need! Our friends Elder and Sister Richards that we knew as missionaries on the Rez even came up all the way from American Fork! How awesome was that! It was such a great surprise.
What did Greg do during the party you ask? See the picture in the top collage on the bottom right? Well, he went shooting with my dad, brother and the bro-in-laws. He loved it.
Your shower was so much fun! It was so good to see everyone and get to visit a little. And yeah, I'm glad we got that picture before I went into labor too. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! So much fun. I couldn't believe seeing your pregnancy counter saying just 11 weeks and 5 days to go. So soon! I am getting more excited for you each day. We pray for you every night! Love you!

ReplyDeleteI am so thrilled for you!!! Congrats girlie! You are going to be greatest mom! My oldest is 10 and she started 5th grade this past week. I REMEMBER 5th grade. Quite vividly actually. Remember how we were both in love with Spencer? How about your boy/girl party and we went to country boy dairy in your moms most awesome VW bus!! See-I can't have a daughter who is old enough to be making memories that she will remember when she is 30! Although, I hope that she is making great friends, who are a strength and an example in her life. Just like her mom did!!
Next time you are up-let me know. I would love to get together and go to lunch!
Good luck friend!!
ps-you glow!
